Ian Doris is a founding member of Keenan & Doris with over 20 years of litigation experience handling complex cases in both the New Jersey Superior and Federal Court. Mr. Doris is admitted to the New Jersey State and Federal Bar, including the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Doris is a Civil Trial Attorney Certified by the N.J. Supreme Court, a distinction held by less than 2% of practicing attorneys. He has extensive experience representing employers in employment litigation, and public entities, police departments, school boards and other government entities in civil rights and general liability cases. He has a number of published articles, and cases in both the state and federal courts.
Mr. Doris has also represented landowners and commercial establishments in a variety of cases including negligence, premises liability and breach of security.
Mr. Doris is also active in his community serving as a volunteer coach for youth sports in his hometown and currently serves as the Zoning Board of Adjustment Counsel for North Arlington N.J. He also served as Assistant Bergen County Counsel for 8 years prior to starting Keenan & Doris. He was a member of the Brennan Vanderbilt American Inn of Court as a pupil and Barrister, an association devoted to trial advocacy and excellence in civil litigation.
He graduated from Rutgers University School of Law- Newark in 1993 and St. Peter’s University, Summa Cum Laude 1989.
